Letting Go of the Old

The Bible says that believers in Jesus Christ have died to sin, the old has passed away, the old order of things is gone, the list goes on; but, why then does it often feel like the opposite is true? We hear that we have been born again, and yet we float back into a state of being unconvinced: “Do I really have this new life?” Whether this describes you perfectly, or not, let us all come before God with open hearts, prepared to be transformed by His Word, for Jesus prayed for His disciples, “Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth” (John 17:17).
