Jason Burnham - Founding Pastor

Jason is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana, and the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where he received his Master of Divinity degree.

Pastor Jason served St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Bryan, Texas for 5 years, before relocating to The Woodlands to serve as the founding pastor of Covenant Methodist Church in June of 2011. Pastor Jason and his wife, Lauren have three children: Addison, Aidan, and Sam.




Rebecca Adams - Assistant to the Pastor

Rebecca moved to The Woodlands in 2011 and found her church home in Covenant Methodist. She is excited to use her background in event planning and customer service to serve the church. She is married to Ryan Adams and together they have three children: Morgan, Brady, and Ben.




Zach Anderson - Connecting Ministries Pastor

Prior to being called into ministry at Covenant, Zach was working towards a career in facility management at a church in Spring, TX. At that church, he met his future wife Kelsey and in December of 2016 they got married. Zach is currently working on his bachelor’s degree with a desire and intent to attend seminary upon graduation as he believes the Lord has led him. He has a passion for Gospel discipleship and believes that Hebrews 12:1-2 is a calling for Christians all over the world to join together in following Jesus and pursuing righteousness as a family.




Flor Argueta - Assistant Worship Leader

Flor is a native Houstonian, UHD alumni, and bilingual educator. She grew a passion for music during her high school years and became a student leader for a Christian organization. Since then, her faith in Christ grew stronger and has worked in various positions at church as youth leader, Sunday school teacher, girls ministries teacher, and worship leader. Since 2011, she has been involved in worship ministry, faithfully believing that great things happen when people unite in worship proclaiming the word of God.


Flor and her husband, Edwin, reside in the Atascocita area and have decided to together serve the Lord in worship ministry. 




Robyn Johnson - Communications Director

Before joining the staff at Covenant, Robyn worked at several churches in the Houston area. She holds a Masters in Counseling and B.A. in Communication from the University of Delaware. She enjoys creating images and experiences to help others feel God’s presence. She uses her communication skills to “carry the message of salvation to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 13:47) Robyn and her husband, Steve, have three teenagers: Katie, Logan, and Ella.




Alyssa Kent - Worship Director

Since a young age, Alyssa has always had a desire to sing; however, after coming to Christ in college, her passion began to shift from merely music into a desire for true, authentic worship. Alyssa loves connecting with people and has made connecting others to the Holy Spirit the forefront of her music ministry.

Alyssa resides in the Tomball area with her husband, Doug, and is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. She owns a private practice in The Woodlands and balances her career time between music ministry and counseling.




Meghan Mazerolle - Serve Ministries Director

Meghan is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. Having worked in various ministry capacities and lived as a missionary in Honduras for 3 years, Meghan is eager to bring her gifts, passions, and experiences to Covenant. Her heart for ministry centers around connecting with people and walking alongside their journey of living on mission for Christ wherever their feet are planted. Meghan is a pursuer of fun and ultimately, a pursuer of Christ, and is honored to be serving God with and through Covenant Methodist Church.



Haven Pearson - Business Manager

Haven, a native Houstonian, attended Texas Tech University for her undergraduate degree in Accounting as well as University of Houston for her masters degree in Accounting. She is a licensed CPA and also works part time with a few clients.  


Haven and her husband Brad moved to Augusta Pines shortly after tying the knot in 2015. They welcomed their daughter Campbell into the world in early 2018 and are enjoying the adventures of parenthood. They also have a dog, Daisy, that they all adore. 



Payton Ruddock - Youth Director

Payton grew up in Marshalltown, IA and moved to Texas to attend Texas A&M University and study Biomedical Engineering. After college, Payton married Samantha and together they have a son named Cullen. When he isn’t chasing Cullen around, he’s working as a professional photographer and exploring his love and passion for the Lord.




Patricia Scott - Children's Ministry Director

Patricia has previously served as a Children’s Director at churches in College Station and in North Houston. She is a former high school and elementary school teacher, having taught for 10 years in Bryan, College Station and Conroe ISDs. Patricia is a 1994 graduate of Texas A&M University.


She and her husband Chris have three children: Beau, Kayla, and Jake. Her family currently resides in the Village of Creekside Park. She shares a passion for children and teaching and feels blessed to be called to serve God at Covenant Methodist Church.




Dario Vargas - Pastor

Dario is originally from Bogota, Colombia, where he studied Computer and Systems Engineering. He moved to Houston in 2001 and worked for the IT industry for more than 25 years. His passion for the Lord came several years ago when he understood the Good News of Jesus Christ, His Kingdom, and our call to be witnesses for Him. He moved into the Ministry as a full time Pastor, and is taking Seminary classes at Perkins School of Theology in SMU. Dario is thankful for the opportunity to serve the Hispanic community surrounding Creekside. He and his wife Anna have three children: Andres, Carolina, and Juana. Their family resides in the Lakes at Creekside
