Covenant is hosting ESL Classes for our community every Tuesday evening throughout the school year. Our classes are FULL with many others on the waiting list to attend! This presents us with an amazing opportunity to welcome the community with a spirit of hospitality and love.
Can you help for a short time as classes get started on Tuesday evenings? We need folks to help set up tables, get the coffee going, greet people as they arrive, and make sure the teachers have their supplies for the night.

Why ESL Ministry
God has brought the World to our Doorstep! Like every city and town in the United States, our community is experiencing an influx of people from all around the world. Many of these folks are unable to speak or read basic English leading to confusion, embarrassment, and isolation.
Through ESL (English as a Second Language) ministries, the Church can now obey two of Jesus’ great commands in one ministry. We can literally reach the nations (Matthew 28:19-20) by loving our neighbor (Luke 10:27).
Covenant has plans to start an ESL Ministry this fall and we are currently looking for people who might be interested in serving in this capacity. You do not need to speak a foreign language or be a professional teacher to be a volunteer ESL Teacher. All you need to do is speak English and love Jesus—we'll teach you the rest.
Nancy Booher, Director, Chapelgate English as a Second Language School, spoke during worship about this amazing opportunity. If you didn't hear her speak, we encourage you to take a moment to watch the video.
